One
of the finest bed and breakfast getaways in the Lookout Mountain/Mentone,
Alabama area, Mountain Grove at Cloudland Bed and Breakfast/Retreat
Center offers rustic luxury and country comfort. Each of our
five bedrooms is large and comfortably appointed with top-quality
new beds, luxurious linens, antiques and original artwork.
Each of Mountain Grove’s guestrooms is named for one of the
many beautiful trees that grace the grounds. Our rooms afford
ample privacy and space. The house has central heat and air
and is comfortable year round. The hot tub on the Oak Terrace
is a steamy delight under the stars.

stay for $30 each per night.

Spruce
This, our master bedroom, is named for the large Norway Spruce
trees that shield you and Mountain Grove from the world outside.
Relax or romance freely in the regal tranquility of this rich,
deep-purple chamber. Watch the sunrise from your own private
balcony; you may well see hawks and pileated woodpeckers. Your
personal bathroom has been crafted from purple and pink-hued
Venato marble and features a relaxing rain-head shower. Especially
during the winter, Spruce also has long canyon views to the
south and east.

Magnolia
You’ll find the deep hues of hunter green, gold, and cream
in this large room that features both beautiful afternoon
views and a feeling of deep privacy. This spacious and
very peaceful room has views open to the west and northwest,
lovely artwork and an antique English armoire. Your bathroom
is adjacent and may be shared with the guests in the Dogwood
room across the hall. It features a claw foot tub (with
shower), a brass sink within a walnut vanity and a Tiffany-style
chandelier. Peek beneath the brass sink for Epsom salts
or other interesting bath treats. Hit the dimmer switch
and soak away the world, or close your bedroom door for
beautiful seclusion...

Maple
At
the top of the stairs is Maple. If you happen to stay
here in late fall you’ll know why this room is named for
one of the most beautiful of all the fall trees at Mountain
Grove. From your own private balcony, straight out into
the woods, is a small stand of the brilliant red trees.
Maple is a favorite for cozy romance. There is also a
charming library nook in this fine queen room. Maple has
a one-of-a-kind private custom-ized bathroom. The shower
walls are solid cast polished concrete in three rich colors,
and the tiles were made on site with “fossilized” leaves
gathered from around the grounds.

Laurel
This
beautiful room is the only private room on the ground
floor. It features a queen and a twin bed and is named
for the Moun-tain Laurel for which Lookout Mountain is
famous. Luxurious and spacious, in earth tones of peach,
clay and calm, Laurel has views of the woods to the south
and west and is easily accessible to the outdoors, especially
handy for both younger and older individuals. Your private
bathroom has a greenhouse window, is crafted of tumbled
marble & slate, and according to Bill Murphy from
New England has “the best shower I’ve ever had.” This
room is both elegant and romantic...

Dogwood
This
restful, sage-green, upstairs room overlooks a pair
of beautiful dogwood trees to the East which are
lovely in any season. Here you’ll find a queen-sized

bathroom features a claw foot tub (with shower)
